Sonic the Hedgehog is best described as Sega's mascot. Released across various consoles in both 2D and 3D, Sonic Games normally have a focus on Speed rather than adventure.

In more recent Sonic games, more playable characters have become available, such as Amy Rose, Shadow, and Rouge, adding more depth to the Sonic Story as the characters come.
